Pasture Management

B & H works with farmers and Land Owners to improve soil health, pasture growth and crop nutrition.

We focus on soil conditioning, cell grazing and appropriate pasture selection to help each paddock reach their full potential.

We are now proudly OMYA distributors in the Mid North Coast.

Omya’s granulated products are manufactured in Australia from natural mineral. Their products include Calciprill, Calciprill +B, Omya Sulfoprill 14 and Magprill. Calciprill and Magprill are certified Organic Inputs.

Dam Management

Dams are an important piece of infrastructure on any property and must be managed and maintained. Invasive weed species can infiltrate your dams and overtime affect its overall quality, with our associated contractor Australian Catchment Management, we can provide in dam weed removal and restoration.

Ag Onsight Welding

For those small out of the way paddock welding jobs, when your project is too awkward to drag back to the shed to work on, we have the ability to get those small annoying fab jobs done with our transportable welder.

 

Farm Bushfire Mitigation & Preparation

In this day and age we need to take more responsibility for preparing our properties for bushfires. There is no point in pouring you’re your money, time and hard work into you property just to have it incinerated on a bad fire day.

B&H Rural Contracting can establish and maintain your fire breaks and help equip you with the knowledge and confidence to prepare you and your property to have a fighting chance during a bush fire.

B&H Rural Contracting provide tractor work to our local area with our own equipment. However, if you have your own tractor and wish for us to operate your pride and joy we can provide you with an experienced and trustworthy operator who treats your equipment like their own.

Like invasive weed species as a property owner you have the responsibility to manage these pests. We have extensive experience in removing many species of pest vertebrates from rabbits, foxes, wild dogs, pigs, goats, deer, wild cattle   

B&H Rural Contracting specialise in ground shooting, utilising thermal optics as we believe it to be a more humane way to control pests, and also a lot quicker way to see results.

But we also offer these services to control invasive vertebrate pest species;

Humane Livestock destruction and disposal

 One of the hardest things you can do when you’re new to farming is having to put livestock down. Veterinarian callout are expensive and sometimes due to times and locality veterinarian assistance is not always available.

If livestock go down with a muscular injury or bone break, we can provide on sight butchery with our associated contractor SHEARMAN LIVESTOCK & MOBILE BUTCHERY your livestock will not be wasted and you will have a full freezer. But if animals are sick injured for a long period of time, disposal of the whole animal is recommended, and we have the ability to bury on sight utilising a transportable 2.5T excavator.
